Things I have thought about today.

How proud I am of one of my best uni friends who failed like… 4-6 exams last year and this year got a first in what sounds like one of the hardest modules possible for our course (not that I know for sure having not taken it yet, but I did fail the prerequisite so maybe I’m biased… she may have failed the prerequisite too though, I’m not sure…). And how she’s quickly becoming a massive inspiration to me.
How much I owe to some people who, thinking in retrospect, really changed my life. I have been thinking about doing a Draw My Life type video but I don’t know if it’ll be interesting. However, I’ve been thinking about what I’d say in it a lot if I did, and it makes me pretty grateful to my best friends through the years.
How I’m actually totally afraid that, pound by pound, so slowly I hardly notice, my weight will creep up so high that I’ll never be able to get it back down and be comfortable with myself again… even though I like to think I’m comfortable with myself, I’m not.
Whether my future will be better. Or whether I’m gonna keep living this day out over and over again, always thinking and never quite doing what I really want to be doing.
And, tbh, whether I’ll spend that future with Tom. And wondering why I can so easily imagine a successful future for him, but I can’t begin to imagine it for myself.

Just can’t be dealing with today atm.

I’m exhausted from leaving for placement at 8am and not returning home from real work til 11 Mondays-Thursdays

My emotions have been haywire today thinking about silly shit from my past that shouldn’t even bother me any more.

I finished a monumental task at placement that went totally unappreciated and it really upset me.

Stuff that happened at work today put my confidence at the lowest it’s been in ages, I felt so shy, so horribly anxious socially and deeply, deeply unattractive.

I have a final year project to organise.

I have a placement project to organise.

I have a place to live next year to organise.

5 months of gas bill came at once this month (£122) so that was nice. Because of this somewhere around £200 has gone out of my bank account this month, not including rent, and my stupid irresponsible housemate now owes me about £60.

And because of an ID fuck-up at work that has only just been brought to my attention, I might not get paid til next month.

I just can’t. do. this. :’(

I made this blog basically to store all my fandom pictures and feels and memey things and general hilarious posts. This is because I’m a massive perfectionist when it comes to this personal blog and how I want it to look and feel (I can’t help my inner artist), and I feel like those kind of things distract it from what I want it to be. This blog will still be the usual service, stuff about my life, occasional fan things, artsy pics and whatever else I do with this thing.

I’ve realised lately, with the help of John Green, how much I love, more than anything, hearing stories. And in fact, that’s a huge amount of what I love about psychology - unique cases, risk factors, case studies, all these things that help build up a picture of someone’s individual and sometimes incredible life story. It’s probably why I love family trees as well.

I’ve just finished reading Paper Towns and where Q talks about being in the band room and just swapping stories and loving that in his friendship, well that’s what I love in friendships too.

I also love, somewhat narcissistically I guess, telling stories. Trouble is, I can’t really tell them well enough to do a lot with that love.

(I’ve discovered a lot about myself recently.)

The last few days have been really wonderful :)

I’ve loved Tom being around again and just being able to talk to him about stuff has made me feel a million times better than I was feeling with him gone. It’s strange, but talking to Tom just makes all my weird paranoia and negative thoughts kinda melt away. Wow, that’s sickeningly romantic. Eww.

Then there was a gathering on Wednesday which was really good. Sometimes you get those drunken nights where everyone is in really high spirits, no-one cries or argues or drinks so much that they’re ill, and it just ends up being a really amazing night. Well, it was one of those. And I cried with laughter for the first time in what must be months. It just felt really good. I’ve missed times like that. I do love my friends :)

I don’t feel as horrible about going back to Manchester either as I did a few days ago. I’m still nervous and I’m still gonna miss home but I’ve regained my excitement about it :)
